This militia squadron was one of the oldest in Switzerland and was set up in 1925. In 2017, shortly before its dissolution, this F-5E shone with a great special paint job on the tail unit, with a sawfish as the association's heraldic animal having a major influence on the artwork. The lettering Addio Vandalo attached to the tip of the fin already indicated the dissolution of Fliegerstaffel 8.
