Fortschritt E 514 (1983 – 1988)

The legendary Fortschritt E 514 combine harvester is the successor to theFortschritt E 514 (1983 – 1988)
E 512 and was launched in 1983. Compared to its predecessor, the E 514
has a more powerful 4 VD 14.5/12-1 SRW engine (with an output of 85 kW).
The cutterbar widths are 3.60 m, 4.20 m, 4.80 m and 5.70 m. The E 514 has
three forward speeds and one reverse speed. The combine harvester weighs
6.5 to 7 tons and is 9 meters long with a width of approximately 3 meters.
The speed range is 1.4–20 km/h. Unlike the E 512, it also has an on-board
computer. The Schumacher cutting system was first introduced on the
E 514 model. The successor to the E 514 was the Fortschritt combine
harvester with the E 524 designation. Almost 12,000 units of this machine
were produced by 1989. The E 514 model appeared on our market in 1983.
