In June 1974, the Renault 1151-4 was one of two models in the new six-cylinder series. The technology used was based on the smaller 751 and 851 models. In this performance class, tractors were only sold as all-wheel drive versions. After about two years and 400 units, the 1151-4 was replaced by the Renault 1181-4.
