Product description

The book contains information on the development of tanks from their beginnings in the trenches of the First World War to the beginning of the 1990s, with a new chapter on contemporary tanks. The author of most of the texts is Ivo Pejčoch, an employee of the VHÚ and an expert on the history of armored technology. For clarity, the world of tanks is divided into three sections, which include the Great War, the Second World War and the Cold War. In them, the reader gets to know not only the history of tank troops, but especially the individual types that served in individual armies. It also includes excursions to tanks of Italian, Swedish or perhaps Israeli provenance. It also contains a number of other texts, for example on tactics, crews or the development of armor and ammunition. All this is complemented by rich visual material, including clear graphics and unique colored photographs.
