Info about the real machine:
The MV5-028 tractor slurry semi-trailer (referred to in period technical practice and collective farm records by the abbreviation TFN-8 or colloquially as the "fekál") was among the key mechanization assets in livestock production and agrochemical services. During the second half of the 20th century, it was an integral part of Machine-Tractor Stations (MTS), Unified Agricultural Cooperatives (JRDs/JZDs), and State Farms in the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic (ČSSR). It was manufactured by the state enterprise ZŤS n.p. Sabinov, Malacky plant, which belonged to the Heavy Engineering Works (ZŤS) trust. The plant specialized in agricultural transport equipment mounted on chassis with a tandem axle arrangement (walking-beam system), which minimized soil compaction and improved the traction of the coupled tractor.
The MV5-028 model was designed as a tractor-drawn slurry semi-trailer with a net tank capacity of 8,000 liters. Within the planned economy system, it was not a universal transporter, but a specialized machine engineered for pumping, transporting, and surface application of liquid fertilizers (slurry, liquid manure) and the sanitation of agricultural facilities (large-scale cattle barns and pig farms). During the socialist era, these trailers represented a pillar of mechanization aimed at intensifying crop production through organic fertilization. They stood out for their simple construction, high off-road capability in difficult terrain, and ease of repair in local cooperative workshop facilities.
The trailers featured a massive, self-supporting steel tank equipped with internal baffle plates that stabilized the liquid during transport. Filling and emptying were not operated via the tractor's hydraulics, but by means of a rotary vane vacuum pump (compressor) driven via a PTO shaft (cardan shaft) from the tractor's power take-off (most commonly from heavy unified Zetor series). The vacuum pump created negative pressure in the tank for suction from slurry pits, or positive pressure for surface spraying across fields using a rear spray nozzle. Even decades after mass production ended in the 1980s, many of these trailers remain in active operation on farms or within historical agricultural machinery collections. Thanks to standardization, spare parts (especially vacuum pump vanes, suction hoses, and seals) remain readily available today.
