A finished collector’s model of the Audi 200 Quattro rally car. The model depicts the car bearing race number 1, driven by Stig Blomqvist with co-driver Benny Melander at the 1989 Swedish Rally—a round of the World Championship. This car was not built by the Audi factory team; rather, it was entered by the brand’s Swedish importer and prepared by Rolf Schmid in Austria. Blomqvist secured 5th place in the event, despite struggling with a loss of engine power during the second leg. The large, luxurious Audi 200 sedan was an unusual sight in rallying and is now a sought-after curiosity among collectors.
The model features a white paint scheme with a red stripe across the roof. It includes sponsor decals (BCA, Michelin, Castrol), race numbers, an auxiliary light pod, a roof-mounted antenna, and mud flaps. It comes in a clear PVC display case, attached to a base.
