As part of a major overhaul of their branding, Icelandair unveiled a new livery in early 2022. The previously blue belly and the yellow engines have disappeared. But the new livery also brings color to the fleet: Five variable rear colors are intended to symbolize the natural phenomena of Iceland. One of the first 737 Max in the new design and latest version in 1:500 scale is TF-ICY with a yellow stripe on the tailplane in this case, to symbolize the sun reflected from waterfalls and glaciers.
