The 747-400F is a purely cargo version of the 747-400. Although it uses updated systems and wing design of the passenger versions, it retains the original short upper deck found on classic 747 models to reduce weight. The -400F can be easily distinguished from the passenger model -400 by the shorter upper deck hump and the absence of windows along the main deck.
