In 2022, Maersk began renaming its air cargo division Star Air to Maersk Air Cargo, which now has the easily recognizable light blue livery of its parent company. Originally delivered to Bahrain Gulf in 1990, later operated by Delta Air Lines, OY-SYA was converted to a full freighter in 2022 and commenced operations for Maersk Air Cargo in January 2023. The fleet currently consists of of 21 Boeing 767s, new and larger 777 freighters are on order.
