Product description

High-quality metal model of the Concorde civil aircraft of the British airline company in detailed processing according to the real model. The package includes a stand, antenna and chassis.

Aérospatiale-BAC Concorde (pronounced: concord; from Latin concordia - unity, harmony) was the only commercially operated supersonic airliner in the Western world (decommissioned from commercial service in 2003), with a maximum speed of Mach 2.04 (2,330 km/h h). Concorde was a joint project of France and the United Kingdom based on the agreement of the governments of both countries on November 29, 1962. A parallel and physically very similar project was the Soviet Tupolev Tu-144.

Concorde entered service after 15 years of development, and until the accident in 2000, there were never any major accidents or problems in its 27 years of operation. In both countries that participated in its development, it was considered a symbol of technical progress and national pride. The aircraft was designed and built by Aérospatiale (today EADS) and British Aircraft Corporation (today BAE Systems), the Olympus 593 power unit was designed and manufactured by Rolls-Royce (Bristol-Siddley) and SNECMA. The flight across the Atlantic Ocean lasted approximately 3 to 3.5 hours (record: 2 hours 53 minutes), the flight height was 15 km after takeoff with a maximum of 18 km.
