Škoda Favorit is a small car that was produced by the Škoda car manufacturer from 1988 to 1995. The car was first introduced in 1987 at the engineering fair in Brno. Favorit was a big step forward for the domestic automotive industry. The development of a front-wheel drive Škoda became a party priority by the Czechoslovak government resolution No. 228 of December 1982. The entire car had to be assembled from domestic parts. Favorit had the parameters of a modern car, comparable to significantly more expensive Western competitors. Current design, hatchback body with a spacious interior and a trunk with a volume of 251 liters. It had economical operation, low price and so the initial interest in it exceeded production capacities.
