The first generation is referred to as Škoda Pick-up or Škoda Favorit Pick-up (the type number is 787, also valid for versions with a fixed superstructure installed, which replaced the box-type, side-opening vans originally developed under the number 786, similar to the Škoda Pick-up type Škoda 784 Savana Van). Škoda Favorit Pick-up has an engine, gearbox and most parts from the Favorit. Its useful weight is 500 kg. The volume of the luggage compartment is 0.82 to 2.38 m³ depending on the cover, either with a straight cover sheet or a sheet supported by steel arches and braces. Either a sheet metal superstructure or a higher plastic superstructure, which was mounted on the pick-up above its loading area and had a hinged door at the top above the hinged lid of the pick-up at the back. Such a solution made cargo handling and access difficult. The vehicle was produced from 1991 to 1995 at the branch plant in Kvasiny. A total of 70,900 Škoda Favorit Pick-up vehicles were produced.
