Škoda Octavia is a model of a lower middle class car produced by the Czech car company Škoda since 1996. Octavia development began in 1992, and in 1999 the Octavia Combi was added to the range. Skoda Octavia of the 2nd generation began to be produced in 2004. Sometimes the model is classified in the middle class, especially the second and third generation. Euro NCAP classifies both generations in the middle class. By December 2011, 1,500,000 units of the Octavia model had been produced. In 2013, production of the third generation Octavia began. The next generation is to be unveiled in 2017 during the Geneva Motor Show.
The fourth generation was presented on November 11, 2019 in Prague. The exterior design follows both the larger Superb and the smaller Scala. For the first time, the model offers a hybrid version, a head up display or LED matrix headlights.
