Product description

High-quality die-cast model of the Tatra 815-2 90 R75 4x4.1 fire truck in 1:43 scale by the Czech manufacturer Kaden. This precisely crafted collectible model stands out for its faithfulness to the original, high-quality materials, and detailed craftsmanship. The model features rotating wheels and authentic details of the firefighting superstructure. For maximum safety during transport and to preserve its collectible value, the product is packed in a sturdy cardboard box with polystyrene foam lining, which reliably prevents any damage.

What made this machine so exceptional?

  • Unique Tatra Chassis: The vehicle is built on the legendary backbone chassis concept with a central load-bearing tube and swinging half-axles. This system allows independent suspension for each wheel, enabling the truck to maintain high speed and stability even in brutal terrain where conventional fire trucks with rigid axles fail.

  • Reliable Air-Cooled Engine: The heart of the vehicle was the iconic Tatra air-cooled diesel engine. The absence of a conventional water radiator was a huge advantage in extreme conditions – there was no risk of overheating during operations near fires, nor of coolant freezing in severe frosts.

  • Agility of the 4x4 Configuration: While most Tatra fire trucks operated in a three-axle 6x6 configuration, the 4x4 version (designated R75) was designed as a "fast response vehicle". Thanks to its shorter wheelbase, it was extremely agile in forested terrain, narrow streets, and mountainous areas.

Vehicles of this model series (Tatra 815-2) have for many years formed, and still form, the backbone of fire brigades in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Having this model in your collection means owning a piece of true Czechoslovak technical history.
