Product description
Limited 333-piece edition of the resin model of the Aero 750 Sport Coupe Uhlik 1000 mil (Czech Republic, 1934). The model is detailed and precisely processed according to the real model. The model is packaged on a base in a PVC box. It will be available at the end of June.
In 1933, the tall Otto Nimshaus lived in Prague. He was so impressed by the premiere of the endurance race "1000 mil Czechoslovak" that he decided to participate in it the following year. With this tight deadline, it was clear that his vehicle could not be a completely new design of his own and that he would at least have to return to the existing chassis with the engine. Otto Nimshaus went for the Aero 20 chassis. However, with a standard engine just under 1000 cc, the displacement was too large for the advertised classification of 750 cc 1000 kilometers and so he had the Aero 18 engine installed. However, since this engine had only 662 cc, the displacement had to be increased to 750 cc to be competitive. The more or less standard chassis and engine combination had to be sheathed with sheet metal and he commissioned the company Oldřich Uhlík in Prague-Strašnice for this. To the client's annoyance, however, the sports car was only completed three days before the start on June 9, 1934, so he hardly left to test his car. Probably Otto Nimshaus nevertheless lined up at the start with anticipation and probably gave everything he could, but his car did not give him any joy. The technology of the car must have been so inadequate that driving it was enormously tiring and he gave up the race prematurely just under 500 kilometers!
