High-quality die-cast aircraft model of the legendary Ilyushin IL-18 in the livery of Cuba’s Aero Caribbean, reflecting the rich aviation history of the Caribbean region. The airline was founded in 1982 as a subsidiary of the state-owned Cubana to operate charter flights across Cuba and to nearby destinations such as the Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Honduras, Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Mexico. This model represents the aircraft registered as CU-T1532, originally built for East Germany’s Interflug in 1968, which later served in Bulgaria before being sold to Cuba in 1995, where it remained in service until an engine fire incident in 2004. The model comes packaged in a cardboard box and blister, including a stand.
