The Airbus A330 is a medium- and long-haul large-capacity transport aircraft manufactured by Airbus. It was developed at the same time as the four-engine A340. The A330-300 was developed as a replacement for the A300. It is based on the extended fuselage of the A300-600 with a new wing, tail surfaces and fly-by-wire software. The A330-300 has a capacity of 295 passengers when arranged in three classes with a range of 10,500 km. When transporting cargo, the capacity of the A330-300 is comparable to that of the Boeing 747. Some airlines transport passengers with these machines during the day and only cargo at night.
