Today’s KLM Cityhopper was founded in 1966 as Nederlandse Luchtvaart Maatschappij (NLM) and started operations with four F-27s. Fokker developed the F-27 as a successor for the DC-3, delivering almost 600 aircraft from 1955 to 1987.
