No. 111 (Fighter) Squadron Royal Air Force operates the Panavia Tornado F3 from RAF Leuchars, Scotland. Throughout its operation in Leuchars No. 111 (F) Squadron was commissioned by keeping the Quick Reaction Alert, which includes keeping the aircraft in a high state of readiness to capture, identify, and if necessary destroy enemy aircraft approaching the airspace of the United Kingdom. Squadron was disbanded in March 2011 and ending service in the RAF Tornado F3.
