Product description

High-quality metal-plastic model of the Boeing 707-320 "Jet Clipper Fleetwing" civil aircraft of the Pan Am airline company, packed in a paper box. The model is detailed and precisely processed according to the real model. The model will be available in July/August 2025. The image is for illustrative purposes only.

At the end of 1958, Pan Am took delivery of the modernized and improved Boeing 707-320 "Intercontinental". It allowed Pan Am to fly non-stop from New York to Frankfurt and Rome. This was a significant improvement over previous models that required stopovers, and the main reason why Pan Am was able to consolidate and expand its leading position on transatlantic routes. The “Jet Clipper Fleetwing” was the fourth of 20 707-320s powered by Pratt & Whitney JT4 jet engines and entered service in 1959. Like the original, this 1/200 scale model features a special livery: Shortly before it was retired in 1970, N717PA was one of the few 707-320s originally delivered to receive a slightly modernized livery that was introduced in parallel with the introduction of the then-revolutionary Boeing 747, with the airline’s name shortened to just “Pan Am.”
