In 1967, the Texas-based company Braniff International revolutionized commercial aviation with its radical new color scheme - or rather color schemes. No less than 15 different colors were intended to attract the attention and sympathy of passengers. This striking red Boeing 727-200 is the first in a new series of Braniff models in 1:500 scale. Red would become one of the most popular colors, painted on no less than 17 aircraft, including seven 727 trijets. Other colors and aircraft types would follow.
