Product description
The metal model of the Boeing 737-800 Virgin Australia Airlines is produced in high quality and detail according to the real model of the aircraft. The package includes a stand and a landing gear. The model is packed in a paper box.
The 737-800 was a lengthened version of the 737-700 launched on 5 September 1994. The -800 has a capacity of 162 passengers in two-class or 189 passengers in a high-density single-class configuration. Hapag-Lloyd Flug (now TUIfly) received its first customer in April 1998. The -800 directly replaced the -400 and the aging 727-200 of American Airlines. It also filled the gap left by Boeing's decision to stop production of the MD-80 and MD-90 aircraft following Boeing's merger with McDonnell Douglas. The 737-800 is the most used narrow-body aircraft and competes primarily with the Airbus A320.
