Product description

High-quality plastic model of the Qantas Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner "Yam Dreaming" civil aircraft from the Herpa SnapFit series. This is a model based on the real aircraft of the Australian national carrier in the unique artistic Flying Art Series livery. The model can be easily assembled without the use of glue or tools, making it suitable for collectors and fans of modern aviation. The package includes a stand for displaying the model in flight position. The model is packed in a paper box.

The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner carries an exceptional livery inspired by the work "Yam Dreaming" by the late Indigenous Australian artist Emily Kame Kngwarreye. The aircraft was also named in her honor and belongs to the Qantas Indigenous Flying Art series, which celebrates the culture of the indigenous people of Australia. The design, featuring bold red and ochre patterns, symbolizes the yam plant, a major food source and important spiritual symbol of the Utopia region in northeastern Alice Springs. More than 60 designers, engineers and painters from Boeing in Seattle, along with Australian studio Balarinji, collaborated to bring the artwork to the aircraft. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is one of the world’s most advanced long-haul aircraft, offering high levels of comfort, quiet operation and efficient travel on international routes.
