Product description

High-quality model of the Qantas Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner "Yam Dreaming". This is a detailed plastic model based on the real aircraft of the Australian national carrier in the unique artistic Flying Art Series livery. The model faithfully captures the distinctive color patterns and original design inspired by Australian Aboriginal art. The package includes a stand for displaying the model in flight position. The model is packed in a paper box.

The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner carries a special livery created based on the painting "Yam Dreaming" by the famous Indigenous Australian artist Emily Kame Kngwarreye. The aircraft was named in her honor and became the fifth aircraft in the Indigenous Flying Art series in the Qantas fleet. The characteristic red and ochre patterns symbolize the yam plant, which is an important food source and an important spiritual symbol in the Utopia region of northern Australia. The design was created by more than 60 graphic designers, engineers and painters from Boeing in Seattle, along with Australian design studio Balarinji. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner is one of the world's most advanced long-haul aircraft and is known for its efficiency, quiet operation and high comfort on long-haul flights.
