The Jeep Gladiator, Jeep Pickup or J-series is a series of full-size pickup trucks based on the large Jeep SJ (Wagoneer) platform that was produced and sold under many brands from 1962 to 1988. The Jeep Gladiator/Pickup design is notable for remaining in production for more than 26 years on one generation of automotive platform. The Gladiator was the basis of the first post-war US Army trucks designed as civilian vehicles and adapted for military use.
