Product description

High-quality metal model of the military aircraft Lockheed C-5A Galaxy - Tennessee Air National Guard, 155th Airlift Squadron of the U.S. Air Force, in a detailed design based on the original aircraft.
This truly impressive aircraft was originally delivered by Lockheed in 1971 and in 1973 began to serve at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware on the East Coast. The following year, the U.S. Air Force conducted a unique test when this C-5A aircraft dropped a Minuteman intercontinental ballistic missile in flight. It later served for several years in the Tennessee National Guard and participated in missions around the world. More than forty years after entering service, the aircraft's operational life finally ended in 2013 and is now on display at the Air Mobility Command Museum, also located in Dover, as probably its largest exhibit.
The model is packaged in a blister and paper box.
