Product description
High-quality 1:200 scale model of the Boeing 707-400 in Lufthansa livery. Made of metal, the model features authentic details including the classic blue-and-white scheme and the yellow circle with the crane logo on the tail.
With the delivery of the first of five Boeing 707-400s equipped with Rolls Royce Conway engines in March 1960, Lufthansa entered the jet age. Aircraft D-ABOF was the fourth delivered, officially entering service on October 1, 1960, and named after the city of Munich. After being retired in 1977, it was converted to a freighter and operated in Africa until 1983. Later it served as a firefighting training mock-up before being scrapped in 1990. This model captures the legendary aircraft in its historical form and is a valuable collector’s item.
