The Northrop E-2 Hawkeye is an all-weather airborne early warning (AEW) aircraft. E-2 was
a twin turboprop engine developed in the late 1950s and early 1960s for the USN. E-2 is a carrier-
capable aircraft and for the E-2B and E-2C underwent significant upgrades in their electronics
The E-2C also gets upgraded turboprop engines. E-2 has been produced since
The 1960s make it the longest production run of any aircraft on board. Variant E-2C
started operating in 1973.

The NATO Tiger Meet is an annual event for aviation teams from all over Europe and several others
countries to come together and test and/or improve their skills. The team members include
everyone from the ground staff to the flight crew. The 2016 NTM was hosted by Zaragoza, Spain
ALA 15 and ran from May 16 to May 27. The French Navy operates three E-2Cs with the E-2C
Hawkeye (3; c/n FR-3/166417 (Navy Tiger) of 4F at Lorient/Lann-Bihoué representing them on
NTM 2016.
