Limited edition model of the WWII Spitfire Mk.IXc MK694, flown by F/Lt. Jaroslav Dobrovolny, 313 Sqn., Oct 1944. The package includes a stand.
The Spitfire Mk. IXC MK694 was produced in early 1944 and delivered to 74 Squadron RAF, before being transferred to 312 Squadron in July with the designation DU-E. In October 1944, the aircraft was transferred to 313 Squadron with the designation RY-E and received a Czech roundel under the cockpit and the 313 emblem with a hawk on the engine cowling. The aircraft was mainly flown by Lieutenant Jaroslav Dobrovolný, later Sergeant Karel Stryk and Seaman Josef Bednáš. The aircraft then went to 303 Squadron and was finally sent to the Royal Danish Air Force.
