Product description
A high-quality metal model of the Airbus A330-200 "Condor," operated by the airline Boliviana de Aviación. The model is crafted with precision and attention to detail, faithfully replicating the real aircraft. It comes packaged in a cardboard box. The image is for illustrative purposes only.
Founded in 2007 to fill the void left by the collapse of Lloyd Aéreo Boliviano (LAB)—and subsequently bolstered by the failure of Bolivia's second-largest carrier, Aerosur—the airline rapidly evolved from a regional operator into a carrier serving intercontinental routes. In addition to several Boeing 737s of various versions, the long-haul fleet currently comprises three Airbus A330-200 aircraft; each features a livery depicting either the Amazonian jaguar or the Andean condor, symbolizing the country's geographical and cultural diversity. The airport serving the capital, La Paz, is situated at an altitude of 4,000 meters (over 14,000 feet). Due to the thin air at this altitude, wide-body aircraft cannot take off from the airport with a full payload. Consequently, flights to international destinations such as Miami and Madrid, operated by the A330s, depart from the airport in the country's largest city, Santa Cruz de la Sierra.
