The Lufthansa Express Boeing 737-300 “Berlin 2000” was a special version of the Boeing 737-300 aircraft belonging to the airline Lufthansa, which carried a special livery and markings promoting the city of Berlin in connection with its candidacy for the 2000 Summer Olympics. The aircraft was modified and re-marked as part of a campaign to support Berlin’s candidacy for the 2000 Summer Olympics. The “Berlin 2000” campaign was not successful – the Games were eventually hosted by Sydney (Australia).
