Product description
Quality metal model of Douglas DC4 TAP Air Portugal military aircraft. The model is detailed and precisely processed, according to the real machine. The model package includes a magnetic chassis and a removable stand.
The first TAP aircraft were the DC-3 and C-47, which were mostly available after World War II. TAP had a total of 8 DC-3s in its fleet and operated them until the 1950s/early 1960s. Today there is a DC-3 in TAP livery outside the TAP building at Portela Airport in Lisbon, however it is not an original TAP aircraft, it was actually CS-DGA and is now registered CS-TDA. It was painted in two different color schemes as can be seen below.
CS-TDF had an accident in June 1948 at Lumiar, Lisbon
