Limited edition model of the Embraer E190 aircraft of the airline German Airways. This is a special Herpa 75 Years edition. The model is packed in a blister in a paper box.
Over the past decades, Herpa Miniaturmodelle GmbH, founded in 1949 by Wilhelm Hergenröther, has established itself as a market leader in faithful miniature models. Initially, the focus was on diorama landscaping, then models of cars and trucks followed. In 1988, the company started producing model airplanes. These quickly became popular collectors' items and are now available in over 60 countries worldwide. In time for its 75th anniversary, Herpa teamed up with German Airways to commemorate this special occasion. The Embraer E190, registered as D-ACJJ, officially took to the skies over Europe from 3 July 2024. It will primarily be used under a lease-to-crew contract with Dutch flag carrier KLM, which operates short and medium-haul routes connecting Amsterdam with other European cities across the continent.
